Pizza Express restaurant opening in Formby this summer

Pizza Express have unveiled their plans to open a new restaurant in Formby which locals hope will bring a boost to the town and also much needed jobs to the area.

The new restaurant will be set over two floors and will offer dining for up to 100 customers. Pizza Express in Formby will offer a varied menu of pizza and pasta meals, also deserts soft drinks and low-calorie dishes, plus a takeaway service will also be available from the new Formby restaurant.

Pizza Express has already started the ball rolling in regards to recruiting senior team members and managers for the Formby eatery. A total of 15 jobs will be created as a result of the new restaurant opening with vacancies available for chefs and waiting staff as well as managerial positions.

The design for the Formby restaurant will take its inspiration from the local area, as is the tradition for Pizza Express eateries. The pizza chain say they like to introduce art work and photography from locals in order to give their restaurants a personal feel.

The move to open a new restaurant in Formby has been welcomed by many locals as it’s hoped the pizza giant’s presence will help revive the town after a number of shops and businesses closed over the past 12 months.

Pizza Express plan to have the restaurant up and running in time for the summer.
