Expansion is on the cards for Northern Irish pizza chain Little Wing as the company has announced it’s poised to open another branch, this time in Bangor County Down.
This opening of the new restaurant in Bangor will mark Little Wing’s first outlet outside of Belfast where it currently has three stores across the city.
The move spells good news for Bangor as the opening of the new restaurant will bring 25 new jobs to the area. This will also bring Little Wing’s tally of staff to 100 across its four restaurants in the Northern Ireland area.
The date for the grand opening of the new Little Wing 50-seater restaurant in Bangor is set for October 30th. However the ambitious company’s development plans don’t stop there as they are plotting to open another restaurant, this time in Holywood county Down, in 2011.
Little Wing opened its first outlet in Belfast in October last year and has grown from strength to strength in a very short space of time under the guidance of Bill Wolsey, head of the Beannchor Group who are behind the venture.
Despite competition from more established pizza chains, Little Wing believes it’s spotted a gap in the market by offering healthy Italian food, at an affordable price combined with extra long opening hours as the restaurant is open from 8am until 1am, and takeaway pizzas are available up until 3am.
