- Domino’s Pizza stores tie up with Special Olympics GB campaign -

Domino’s, the local pizza delivery expert, showed its supports for Special Olympics Great Britain on Friday (December 3] when it took part in ‘Wear the Laces’ day.

Special Olympics Great Britain is the national charity for Domino’s Pizza and ‘Wear the Laces’ is the latest fundraising campaign being run by Special Olympics GB to raise funds and awareness of the charity.    Friday, December 3, was the UN’s International Day for Disabled People so this is why this day is significant to the charity.

Tina Johnson, franchisee for the store in Kingston, Milton Keynes, said; “We were delighted to take part in this project as we are fully supportive of Special Olympics GB and like to do what we can to help this good cause.  All my team members wore the laces on the day and we have a box of laces on the front counter available for customers to buy if they wish.  The laces cost just £2 so it is easy to show your support and buy a pair.”

Domino’s stores up and down the country joined in the event with team members all over wearing the branded shoe laces and having them available to purchase in store.  To enhance the awareness further, Special Olympics GB are running a ‘Wear the Laces’ photo competition on Facebook.  The winner of the competition will win a Vodafone v1415HTC VOX Smartphone, with five runner-ups receiving a Domino’s Pizza voucher.  For more details on how to enter the competition, please log onto www.facebook.com/specialolympicsgb.co.uk
