Domino's Pizza has noted a marked increase in online sales

Domino’s Pizza is riding high at the moment according to recent statistics which hint that the company is set to announce profits at the top end of the market following a rise in online sales and strong trading in the last 13 weeks to September 26th.

With 553 Domino’s Pizza outlets in operation across the UK and Ireland, the pizza delivery company has reported a rise of 9.9% in profits in the last 13 weeks compared to the same period last year. The news is particularly impressive as 12 months ago Domino’s Pizza launched the highly successful 2-4-1 campaign on Tuesdays which gave a major boost to sales.

One area where Domino’s Pizza is noting a marked improvement is in its online sales. Over the last 13 weeks the franchise company has reported a rise of 69% in online sales. The use of online marketing via social network sites like Facebook and exclusive online offers are likely to have contributed to this success.

During this period Domino’s Pizza has also opened at extra 16 stores in the UK bringing its total to 643 outlets nationwide. Spurred on by their recent success, the pizza giant is planning to open a further 20 Domino’s Pizza stores in the UK by the end of the year.
