Leading home pizza delivery company, Domino’s Pizza, has revealed the first of its speciality pizzas for the year. The six cheese Wisconsin pizza has been named after the American state as most of the cheeses used to top the new pizza are sourced from Wisconsin.
A brand new high profile advertising campaign has also been devised to coincide with the launch of the new pizza. The 6 cheese Wisconsin pizza is topped with parmesan, cheddar, provolone, feta, mozzarella and asiago and is sure to go down a storm with pizza fans across the US.
The use of the 6 cheeses, the most of which all originate from Wisconsin, is to demonstrate Domino’s commitment to using well sourced ingredients of the highest quality in its pizza. The move comes after Domino’s announced a revamp of its pizza ingredients last year and introduced new pizza bases and also tomato base sauces for all its pizzas.
As well as the new TV adverts which will be shown at prime time slots during some of the most popular US show, Domino’s has also created an interactive website under the theme “Behind the Pizza” which allows users to see where the ingredients for Domino’s Pizzas come from with short video clips and blogs from farmers from whom the pizza ingredients are sourced.
