Domino’s Pizza has launched their annual search this week to find the world’s fastest pizza maker. The UK regional heats will start immediately, with the UK final due to be held at Domino’s training centre in Milton Keynes on February 29th.

Pizza making teams from stores across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland will all compete in regional heats throughout the coming weeks, with the winners from each pizza-off coming together at the end of the month for the UK grand final in Milton Keynes.

While speed is obviously the biggest factor in the competition, the judges will also award points for accuracy and the quality of the final pizza so just throwing the ingredients together and presenting a jumbled mess simply won’t do! As part of the speed pizza making competition, each contestant will make three different pizzas, one topped with pepperoni, another with mushroom and finally a plain cheese and tomato pizza to complete the line up.

The pizza maker who is triumphant in the UK final in Milton Keynes on February the 29th will go forward to the Domino’s World’s Fastest Pizza Maker Final to represent the UK in Las Vegas on May 14th.

Last year saw the Domino’s pizza maker, Prem Singh, from Leicester sail through to the world final after achieving a pizza making time of 59.69 seconds.
